Conferentie 'The justice of the peace in Europe'
In samenwerking met de Rotterdamse Erasmus School of Law organiseert het Rechtshistorisch Instituut op 27 en 28 oktober 2011 een internationaal colloquium over de vrederechter. Op donderdag 27 oktober worden in Gent referaten gehouden in het Nederlands en het Frans over de geschiedenis van het vredegerecht in België. Op vrijdag 28 oktober wordt in Rotterdam rechtsvergelijkende aandacht besteed aan de plaats en de rol van de vrederechter in Europa. Voor nadere inlichtingen en inschrijving zie de website van de sectie Rechtsgeschiedenis van de EUR.
The Legal History Institute organises, in collaboration with the Erasmus University School of Law, a two days conference on the Justice of the Peace. On Thursday, October 27th, in Ghent, lectures in French and Dutch deal with the history of the justices of the peace in Belgium.
